TER train Nice-Ville β Monaco-Monte-Carlo
From Terminal 1 or 2, take the free shuttle bus to Nice-St-Augustin station (10 min). From Nice-St-Augustin, take the TER regional train to Monaco-Monte-Carlo station (20 min, direct). Trains run every 30 minutes. The Monaco station is directly in the paddock/pit lane area.
π‘ Tip: During race weekend, buy your return ticket at Nice before you go β the Monaco station ticket machines have long queues on race day. No advance booking needed for TER trains.
Taxi from Nice Airport to Monaco
Licensed taxis run from both terminals. The fare to Monaco is semi-fixed at approximately β¬80β100. Agree the price before departure β some drivers quote β¬120+ to tourists.

From Monte Carlo city centre to Circuit de Monaco
The Monaco Grand Prix circuit runs through the actual streets of Monte Carlo β you are already at the circuit when you're in Monaco. The pit lane is adjacent to the harbour.

The Monaco circuit is built on the streets of the principality. Any hotel in Monaco is within walking distance of the circuit or a grandstand. The Fairmont Hotel hairpin corner is one of the most famous viewing spots in motorsport.
π‘ Tip: Book your hotel in Monaco for race weekend 12β18 months in advance β the principality has fewer than 30 hotels and they sell out immediately after the calendar is published.

Buy single TER tickets at Nice or Monaco stations. The French Navigo pass is not valid on TER trains between Nice and Monaco.

Race day notes
- Β·Monaco's roads close completely during race weekend. If you are not staying in Monaco, you cannot drive in β all access is by train or helicopter.
- Β·The helicopter transfer from Nice Airport to Monaco HΓ©liport (β¬150, 7 min) is the fastest option and genuinely worth the cost during race weekend.
- Β·Trains back from Monaco to Nice after the race are extremely crowded β expect 45-60 min for a 20-minute journey.
- Β·Monaco in May is warm (20β24Β°C) but the harbour area can be breezy. A light layer is useful in the evenings.
