From Silverstone city centre to Silverstone Circuit
Silverstone has no direct railway station. The standard approach is Chiltern Railways to Bicester North, then the official shuttle bus to the circuit. Alternative: Milton Keynes Central (West Midlands Railway from Euston) with a longer shuttle.
Official shuttle from Bicester North
Official Silverstone race weekend shuttles run from Bicester North station directly to Gate 6 and Gate 9 of the circuit. Pre-book essential during British GP β they sell out.
π‘ Tip: Book shuttle passes at silverstone.co.uk when you buy race tickets β they sell out faster than grandstand seats for the British Grand Prix.
Coach direct from London (Victoria or Marble Arch)
National Express and private operators run direct coaches from central London to Silverstone during race weekend. Door-to-circuit, typically 90β100 min depending on traffic. Often the most convenient option from London.
π‘ Tip: Direct coaches remove the Bicester North transfer and are worth the slight premium on race day when train connections are packed.
π³ Transport card β Contactless card or Oyster (London only)
Oyster and contactless cards are valid within London (including Elizabeth Line to Paddington). Outside London, buy separate tickets on Chiltern Railways or National Express. Contactless Visa/Mastercard accepted at most UK train gates.
