From Zandvoort city centre to Circuit Zandvoort
Zandvoort aan Zee station is 800m from the circuit entrance — a flat 10-minute walk through the town. The route is completely clear and well-signposted during race weekend.
NS Sprinter from Amsterdam Centraal
Netherlands Railways (NS) Sprinter runs directly from Amsterdam Centraal to Zandvoort aan Zee — no changes, no shuttles. Walk 800m from the station to the circuit.
💡 Tip: This is the cleanest public transport connection of any F1 circuit. Do not drive — parking near the circuit is extremely limited and roads close completely on race day.
💳 Transport card — OV-chipkaart
The Dutch public transport smart card works on all NS trains, Metro, trams, and buses. Purchase at any NS ticket machine or NS.nl. Contactless bank card (Visa/Mastercard) also works on most NS gates — tap in and tap out.

Race day notes
- ·Cars are completely banned from Zandvoort village on race day — the only way in is by train or bicycle.
- ·Trains from Zandvoort after the race run continuously back to Amsterdam — the NS is well-prepared for race day crowds and trains rarely stop feeling extremely full.
- ·North Sea weather at Zandvoort in late August: 18–24°C, often windy. A windproof layer is useful even on sunny days.
- ·The Dutch Grand Prix atmosphere is extraordinary — the orange-clad home crowd is passionate and the sand dune terrain makes for unique spectating.
